26-year-old Tariq Mohamed Bouazizi had become accustomed to extra-legal life as street vendor in the small Tunisian town of Sidi Bouzid. But in desperation, after a policewoman ejected him from the marketplace, he set himself on fire. Within two weeks, his death would set off a series of revolutions that became known as "The Arab Spring."
