Synopsis:
I met Zorito, Etu Innoncent Philibert, Jean-Marie and Assouman in 1991. These six children were living in the street in Bujumbura, Burundi. I asked them whether I might come back and film the turning points of their lives, until we were all old. "Maisha Ni Karata" compares the young men of today, in 2003, with the teenagers and children that they were in earlier footage. What might become of youngsters who have been living in the street since they were six? How do they see now the world? How do they see themselves?
