Circus without borders| 28mins
Director: Eitan Wetzler | Producer: Eitan Wetzler
Focus Years: 2013 | Country: Israel
Synopsis:
The film shows a unique collaboration between two youth circuses: A mixed Arab-Jewish circus from the Galilee in Israel and a youth circus from Arnhem in the Netherlands.
Both circuses use their art for social change. The "Galilee Circus" is bringing together Jewish and Arab children through weekly joint activities. The Dutch “Poehaa†circus attempts to integrate between children of different background in Dutch society.
The circus presents, in my eyes, a rare place where children and teenagers from different backgrounds can find a neutral meeting ground where a third culture is created, not obligated to restrictions such as nation, culture, language or religion.
