Synopsis:
Following four families from different income levels and origins, we discover how being deeply in debt affects their lives. Adding contrast to the personal dramas, specialists in various fields (economists, attorneys, psychologists, socialists, judges and other experts) analyze the economic, social and cultural factors that have brought about this situation, lending their views regarding the legal, political and social means available (or those needed) to approach this problem. In this portrayal of four realities, with which many can identify because it is also their own story, the documentary aspires to generate debate about debt and consumption issues, the grave social consequences of which affect us more and more every day.
