Synopsis:
Children of the Jaguar is a documentary about courage and determination. A small Indigenous peoples' community from the Ecuadorian Amazon challenges the government after it fails to respect their right to be consulted and get their consent regarding an oil project on their ancestral land. Children of the Jaguar shows the journey of the Sarayaku Indigenous community as they travel from the Amazon to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, based in Costa Rica, to present their case before the judges and the state lawyers. This is their last resort after years of trying in national courts without response.
