Synopsis:
The subject of this movie is a poetical and musical meditation about the diversity, the togetherness, the solidarity and the sense of feast of the inhabitants of Le Panier, the oldest neighborhood in France, right there were Marseille was founded. Over the course of several years, the Fête du Panier - which is now an institution - was filmed. It is a festive breath of the new French Republic intermingling. Flavors, colors and music are mixed during these several days each year for the last ten years, making the people forget for some time the harshness of life, and instead give precedence to happiness and joy, either for the people that live there and/or the visitors. In a moment where some are trying to show us the world only as place of conflicts and violence, this movie is a symphony of diversity, colors and high-level artistic world music, theater, and all kind of arts, thanks to the solidarity and sense of celebration of the neighborhood of Le Panier.
