Full tanks, empty plates - A politico-poetic documentary. To challenge the threat posed by global warming, the European Union has imposed the use of crop-based fuels. The official texts refer to "bio-fuels". "Bio" means "life". Is it appropriate to refer to these agro-fuels as "bio"fuels? "Full tanks, empty plates" questions not only an agricultural model, but also a development model and the existing pattern of North-South relationships. It presents the views of witnesses from the North and the South, intertwining political analysis and meditation, figures and music, testimonies and songs and invites us to imagine that “another world is possible”.
