Synopsis:
This film is on the conservation of traditional rice seeds. It travels through the farming practices of some of the traditional paddy seed savers in the three states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in India. Through their voices and the voices of scientists, small farmers and environmentalists the film traces the destruction of agro-biodiversity as well as traditional knowledge systems and the big lie of Green Revolution which has eventually led to the crises faced by small farmers in India. The film also shows that organic farming is the only way out in order to sustain an ecological balance of the bio-systems and also to counter the takeover of agriculture by agribusiness companies.
