Synopsis:
Northern Trespass is a documentary about the grassroots opposition to a destructive high transmission line project to bring an excess of energy from Hydro-Quebec to Southern New England (USA). This film shows the many reasons why such projects should be stopped. Northern Trespass explores the human aspect such as damage to farmland, maple sugar production, eminent domain, greenhouse gases, mercury poisoning in flooded areas and the tactics used by greedy corporations to push projects like this through. This film is also available with French Canadian subtitles (L'intrusion du Nord).
