Synopsis:
Back to the Village tells the story of the sweeping changes taking place in rural life in India. Villages and their centuries-old infrastructures are disappearing as the mass exodus to the cities continues. And when that happens, those left behind—the young and very old—have to fend for themselves. Suicide is not uncommon. But the film points out that there are ways to remain in the village by creating an economic base for survival.
