Director: Jonny Vasic | Producer: Jonny Vasic
Focus Years: 2011 | Country: United States
Synopsis:
For seven months, PETA went undercover inside one of the largest international wholesale dealers of exotic "pets" in the United States. Hundreds of thousands of animals of all shapes and sizes were bought and sold by U.S. Global Exotics, Inc. (USGE). During their time at the filthy warehouse in Arlington, Texas, the animals were cruelly confined, severely crowded, and denied basics such as food, water, space, humidity, heat, and veterinary care. PETA's investigation led to the largest animal seizure in history, more than 26,000 animals were rescued from USGE. However, other animals continue to suffer in the pet trade.
