Synopsis:
A Growing Exchange is a documentary made by artists Annechien Meier and Alex Wilde (UK) in collaboration with filmmaker Gert-Jan Gerlach. The film probes and investigates what is happening in the field of urban agriculture in Glasgow (Scotland) and The Hague (The Netherlands) and how an artist functions in urban agriculture projects. In the film, Annechien and Alex explore from their perspective as artists, political, social and spatial developments in urban agriculture. Through a series of interviews, they ask how much responsibility artists should have and whether they are the right people to be asked to solve social and economic issues.
