                    Synopsis:
An intrinsic part of Asian culture and ethos for centuries, over time, the range of the Asian Elephant has shrunk dramatically.
Fragmentation of their habitat, has forced elephants into closer proximity of people resulting in damage to crops, habitation and even human life.
Professor Raman Sukumar, who is acknowledged as the world’s authority on the behavior and ecology of the Asian Elephant, has been studying the conflict between people and the Asian elephant. In this 25-minute film he gives his candid opinion on the situation and the outlook for the species. We get a glimpse of his scientific work, the remarkable people who work with him and the charismatic Asian Elephant.
