Synopsis:
Father.Land is a filmmaker's reflexive ethnographic journey to her hometown of Dimona, Israel. Dimona is home to the Negev Nuclear Research center, whose activities are shrouded in secrecy. The city residents uphold its nuclear ambiguity with a wall of silence. Through an intimate gaze and conversations between the filmmaker and her father, retired after 40 years of employment at the nuclear facility, Father.Land explores the expatriated filmmaker's desire to approach this wall, to confront its force, to "talk back to power", and to speak in silence.
