Synopsis:
The film tells the story of three girls from the martial art school Shaolin Tagou, which lies in the central Chinese province of Henan. With 26,000 students, it is the biggest Kung Fu school in China. It is located right next to the Shaolin Temple, the Temple where Kung Fu originated from. Around 1000 kilometers away from their parents, Xin Chenxi (9) and Chen Xi (15) fight between the mass of other girls and boys through a life that is marked by discipline, rules and daily hard training. But Kung Fu is also their chance. They know why they train so hard: one day they want to belong to the Chinese Kung Fu elite. The better they learn their fighting techniques, the greater their chance is to make a decent living from their humble origins. Huang Luolan (17) could not take the drill at the school. She fled back to Shanghai. Compared to children in Germany, the girls live an extremely tough, performance-oriented life in the Kung Fu school. But deep down, they have the same dreams all children around the world have. And no one can take that away from them...
