Synopsis:
GURU ZANE is a video document of a special needs child who’s warmth and character transforms his family and caregivers in reciprocal loving devotion. Zane Robinson, now 14 years old, was diagnosed with Emanuel Syndrome shortly after birth, and he is one of roughly 500 people who have been diagnosed worldwide. The film is a reflection of Zane’s daily routine and challenges, as well as their impact on his family. In this simple exploration of Robinson family life spanning the course of two years, they find themselves in a constant journey to acceptance and understanding of their son as a person. GURU ZANE is an illustration of growth and love that demonstrates the most valuable lessons a family can learn from having a child with special needs.
