"This is a pilgrimage, a true pilgrimage to thank those who taught me my job”. A journey in Uganda, hit by dictatorships, guerrilla and Ebola. The film follows missionary surgeon Carlo Spagnolli going back to Uganda after forty years, rediscovering the places where he started his career: Lacor Hospital of Gulu, founded by doctors Piero and Lucille Corti, and Kalongo, the hospital founded by doctor Ambrosoli, Comboni missionary. Throughout his journey, Carlo will meet new African doctors who continue the work and missionaries sister Aldina, father Elio Croce (who survived Ebola) and father ItaloPiffer. The film follows Carlo in his thoughts, meetings and emotions, rediscovering some hope through these heroes without capes.
