Synopsis:
Post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, is a debilitating mental disorder that affects approximately 1 in 5 people involved in armed conflict worldwide. There is no clinically proven cure for its effects. In the distant island of Tasmania, however, a remarkable story unfolded over the last 20 years that challenges this notion. A group of war veterans who thought they would never feel joy again, found hope, healing and peace. "Heroes Of Peace" tells the story of how holistic yoga and meditation, when harnessed correctly, can transform lives and heal the scars of trauma that were once considered irreparable.
