Synopsis:
Las Hijas (The Daughters) is a documentary about 3 young women who were among the first generation of infants adopted from Colombia. Tanya, Kris and Laura were raised by families in the New York City area. As children and as adults, they seek to establish their sense of identity. The film touches upon all 3 sides of the adoption triangle: the adoptee, the adoptive family and the biological family.
