Synopsis:
For centuries, there have been people who have laid down their life taking side with the oppressed. This is the story of Sr. Valsa John of SCJM order, born on 19th Feb 1958 in Edappally in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. She joined SCJM in 1983. She decided to work among the Adivasi of Santhal Pargana, who work fighting for their rights to land, water and forests. She led the people's struggle against the coal mining by PANAM at Panchuwara. In the process, she laid down her life on 15th Nov 2011.
