Cancer. More than a third of us will get it in our lifetimes. A quarter of us will die from it. It’s already Canada’s number one killer. Whether the product of faulty genes, runaway cell division, or damaged stem cells, cancer is slowing revealing its secrets. No other disease has ever been studied this much! Our understanding of cancer has grown substantially over the past ten years. High-performance tools now provide researchers with a much clearer picture of what makes cancer tick.
