Focus Years: 2009 | Country: China
Synopsis:
A visual trip through an abandoned area under the foundation of popular buildings in a suburb of Naples, in Southern Italy, an empty unidentified and someway mysterious place lying under the city. "Alice in the City" is a project of psychogeographic observation, which tell us the contrast between different worlds of significance and show us the physical oxymorons made by time and development. Each episode describes a district, a corner of the city, a discovery which goes beyond the narrow visual field of everyday itinerary. It’s all about sensing places, shapes, lines, people as if it’s the first time, like lettrist psychogeography used to do in search of the emotional effects of the environment.
