Synopsis:
Ek Inquilab Aur Aaya: Lucknow 1920- 1949 is set in Firanghi Mahal, a centre for Islamic scholarship in Lucknow. The film revolves around two women, Khadija Ansari a young girl who steps out of Firanghi Mahal as India becomes independent in 1947 choosing to become involved in political activity and even goes to jail for her political work and her aunt Sughra Fatima who writes poetry and suffers from melancholia even as she publishes in her own lifetime. The film has been shot in Firanghi Mahal, Lucknow and Guwahati. It is 62 minutes in length and was directed by Uma Chakravarti and produced by PSBT.
