Synopsis:
Pathakota is a remote village in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh with no access to telecommunication. In 2009, Pathakota became the first village in Andhra Pradesh to receive electricity through a micro-hydro installed on a stream near the village. This film explores the changes that one year of electrification coupled with the use of other sustainable energy sources such as solar and energy efficient wood stoves has brought to the village with regard to their culture and outlook on life.
