L'Angelique et les Ragondins (Desperately Seeking Angelica/Heterocarpa)| 13mins
Director: Olivier Sigaut | Producer: Olivier Chantriaux
Focus Years: 2010 | Country: France
Synopsis:
Angelica heterocarpa and myocastor coypus are united in this tale of "ordinary" urban wildlife. When a rare and near-extinct plant is found on the Garonne riverfront in Bordeaux, it creates a bit of a stir.... In the meantime, nutria (myocastor coypus) roam the shores and vacant lots of the city. This documentary offers insight both into all forms of "urban biodiversity" and into the field of what is now called human ecology. A strange story, to be continued....
