Synopsis:
“…supporting the conservation efforts in Greece, we help Monachus monachus not to be alone and to strengthen its position in the chain of lifeâ€. The documentary, entitled “Mediterranean Monk Seal: A Link in the Chain of Life†was produced specifically for a project funded by the European Commission, and presents the monk seal the significance of three important findings for the species sites and the objectives of the project. For its production, a film crew joined the field teams in the project areas and shot the appropriate footage from the areas and the project activities. Upon its completion, the film was translated to both Greek and English, and was sent to several local and national TV stations, requesting them to broadcast it. The film was also sent to the 4th International Environmental Film Festival Ecocinema, held in Rhodes on the 5/06/2004.
