Synopsis:
“Mountain Chronicle†documents the lives of some of the inhabitants of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Everything takes place on Mount Succiso (2,017 meters above sea level): a crossroad for human lives and destinies throughout history. Unaided by special effects, we follow a modern shepherdess as she tends her flocks and small daughter on the pastures, despite the unfavorable conditions. A poet composes his lines while seeing to his horses. A couple of herdsmen cross the mountain passes in a storm. One colorful character, once a mule driver, now deals in mules and horses. A shepherd’s son grapples with an existential deadlock.
