Synopsis:
Even today, after five years, the people in Italy and around the world do not know why the inhabitants of the Susa Valley (in Piedmont, Italy) continue to struggle to block the work of the high-speed railway line Turin-Paris. It is not just a matter of economic interests and jobs that will be created by the mafia, Camorra and N’ drangheta (and this film does not wish to address these aspects), but it is a matter of life or death because the mountains contain asbestos, uranium and many aquifers. Also, the trains to transport trucks are empty. Passenger trains to Paris will be reduced to only one per day. Firemen and police have even warned the government of the danger that lurks in the mountains, but the government remains silent! The money is more important to them than the health of the citizens.
