Synopsis:
The question of energy is one of the biggest challenges we will have to face within the next years. Is there any alternative to expiring resources, increasing costs and irreversible damages of nature? Yes, there is, because the future of our energy supply lies within the use of renewable energies like solar, wind, water, biomass or even geothermal energy! France - just like Germany - is considered to be one of the European countries that concentrate on the use of the natural and inexhaustible potential of wind power. "The Wind Is Our Way" depicts the way to the future of renewable energies by introducing us to the Ostwind project, Fruges - a wind park with 70 constructions and an output power of 140 megawatts, which is serving 150,000 households with clean electricity. The initial idea to use wind power in the "Land of Seven Valleys" came from the citizens themselves, who had realized that renewable energies soon will be the most important energy source of the region.
