Synopsis:
This film follows a team of scientists and mountain leaders into one of the last unexplored rain forests in the world: the interior of the North Negros Natural Park in the Philippines. We follow their trials and tribulations as they begin this 12-day expedition into the jungle. Trekking over uneven terrain for many hours a day with their backpacks weighing over 25 kilos, they slip and slide over rocks and rivers as the smallest step becomes increasingly difficult. They head deep into the forest hoping to find new and endangered species … the bleeding heart dove not seen for 50 years, and the most rare deer in the world - the Visayan spotted deer are among the many….
