                    Synopsis:
Inspired by the magical melody of the Latin folk song “Moliendo Caféâ€, this short film shows the natural coffee production process practiced in the Andean coffee region. First, the ripe coffee cherries are picked by hand, then the best ones are carefully selected and separated. Then using the “wet methodâ€, harvested cherries are passed through a pulping machine where the skin and pulp is separated from the bean. The beans are kept for a few hours in fermentation tanks, and then dried. Finally, the beans are roasted and are ready for consumption. The drawings were animated frame-by-frame using the traditional animation technique.
