Danger Global Warming (Recycled by Utah Saints)| 4mins
Director: Alexandre Athane | Producer: Alexandre Athane & The Blacksmoke Organisation
Focus Years: 2009 | Country: France
Synopsis:
A man is facing his reflection in a mirror. All sorts of images cross his mind as he questions his role as a human being on the planet. As he tries to wash his face and clear his mind with fresh water from the tap, black water covers his face and transforms into an oxygen masks plunging him into nightmarish visions where crows fly away from smoking chimneys and skeletons dance to techno beats. It may not be his reflection he is facing after all, but his true consciousness. Set to a dark electro remix by United Kingdom DJs Utah Saints, from a track originally written by The Blacksmoke Organization, and vocals performed by Hugh Cornwell. This animated music video aims to show the effects on Mother Earth, our dear planet, caused by pollution and global warming. Through the playful form of a an animated music video that mainstream audiences and young people could enjoy on television music channels around the globe, I wanted to share and spread a serious message about planet protection.
