Synopsis:
Vancouver-based Pacific Rim has been trying to exploit gold deposits at its El Dorado mine for nearly ten years. But thanks to the vigilance of local communities and organizations, the company has never been allowed to move the project ahead. Using art, music, radio and peaceful protest as their weapons, their peaceful resistance has been met with death threats, violence and murder. “Late Night Sunrise” tells their inspiring story while giving a taste of the community and landscape through don Juan, a local farmer and activist.
