A religious invocation prevalent among Iranians, as well as other Muslim nations, is the tradition of preparing and sharing food offerings among people, commonly carried out in special religious occasions like anniversaries of the martyrdom of prophets and Imams, especially in the religious months of moharam and safar, which are the highlights of the tradition. This film is about the cooking of one of these foods, Ash Shole ghalamkar. This Ash must be cooked throughout the night until the morning and be distributed among people, early in the morning, at the call to prayers.
