Synopsis:
In "The Manager (False Bay Ecology Park)", Asieff Khan is Manager of the False Bay Ecology Park. We take a trip with him on his rounds of this complex amalgam of municipal land, which is an oasis of nature surrounded by city. "CareTakers" is a documentary film project about South Africa's rich natural heritage, and the dedicated people who care for it. In the face of overwhelming biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, and human-induced climate change, there is a pressing need for clear calls to effective action. These films are intended to educate, advocate and inspire people to become active parts of the solution. The project has been launched with a series of eight short films that profile some inspiring South Africans working to protect our natural resources.
