Synopsis:
The first in a trilogy of films about the world's three major tropical forests and the impact of deforestation, “Africa’s Green Heart” is a personal journey that takes us from the slums and diamond pits of Sierra Leone to the depths of the Congo Basin. Dramatic film of bush meat hunters and life on Congo riverboats contrasts with rare gorilla behavior and moving interviews with forest communities, loggers and conservationists.
