Synopsis:
This film is dedicated to the small and marginal farmers of the country who contribute significantly towards the development processes, economic prosperity, social development and self-reliance of the country. They are the core producers of food, working for longer hours in the field and thereby, largely contributing to the national food security of the country. Despite all their significant contributions, unparalleled role in agriculture, women farmers are far away from the mainstream of development. This documentary film, "Bridging the Knowledge Gap" sheds light on the major endeavors undertaken by Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group by establishing an Alternate Extension System to help the small and marginal women farmers of the society.
