Synopsis:
The film presents and discusses the modern barn for dairy cattle with a deep bedding system. All functional zones of the barn are shown: resting area, feeding area, feeding passage with cribs, resting area for calf and young cattle, waiting area, milking parlor, and milk storage area. The film commentary includes a lot of information on every functional zone explaining the construction idea and their advantages for animals and service staff as well. There have been shown the operations of replacement of thick deep bedding layer (organic fertilizer) by the layer of clean straw, liquid manure discharge, as well as manure and liquid manure spreading on fields and grasslands. The commentary also includes a lot of additional information on manure and liquid manure as natural (organic) fertilizers.
