Synopsis:
Australian entrepreneur conservationist Nigel Mason is determined to rescue ten endangered elephants held captive in government training camps in Sumatra. Nigel intends to transport the elephants over 3,000 kilometers, crossing three Indonesian islands to the safe haven of his very own Elephant Safari Park in the hills of Bali. Set against the backdrop of Indonesia's ongoing struggle with terrorism, “Operation Jumbo” is the documentary behind an incredible journey that is plagued by personal hardship, in-house conflict and some very unhealthy elephants.
