Director: Maasai Pastoralists | Producer: Conversations with the Earth & InsightShare
Focus Years: 2010 | Country: United Kingdom
Synopsis:
Maasaï pastoralists documented the devastating impacts of a seemingly endless drought across the region that killed livestock and people, threatened livelihoods and caused wide-spread suffering to many of the indigenous pastoralist communities. Fortunately, their traditions and knowledge make them more adaptable than most. Moreover, they are not waiting for international negotiations to make a difference in their lives. In this video they share their thoughts on possible solutions and show how they are already taking action at home.
