Synopsis:
The water is rising, and 63 villages on the way of a green valley will be flooded and their residents must leave. There is a holy shrine in one of the villages and people are waiting for a miracle.... Director’s Statement: “From appearance of the industry until now, from any section and place, there has been opposite point, named ‘tradition’, and sometimes the danger of defeat and destruction threaten it. In this film, ‘How Green was our Valley’, the characters may see themselves as victim of entrance of an industry, because they have lost their homes and their land. But we can't ignore the improvement of industry and many job opportunities that it brings. Maybe, losing some tradition doesn't mean defeat or lack of success. Perhaps the next generation can find their ability to use the industry in a better way to produce benefits for both.”
