Synopsis:
This documentary tells the captivating story of nine men and women, Jews, Muslims, and Christians from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Ukraine, and the USA who come together in mind, body, and spirit on a month-long journey through the Sahara Desert, across five different countries and cultures. Burdened by deep personal tragedy as a result of political conflict, the team members test themselves in this challenging surrounding and against their own conflicting relationships. Taking off from the old city of Jerusalem on a journey of over 6,000 kilometers, they carry a young olive tree with them. Should the members of the expedition reach their final destination as a team, they hope to plant it on Libyan soil as a symbol of peace and reconciliation.
