Director: Zeina Sfeir | Producer: SDC - Switzerland
Focus Years: 2007 | Country: Lebanon
Synopsis:
It’s the story of two Palestinian families that hosted two Lebanese families. During the Israeli shooting on Lebanon in July 2006. Although one might think that these camps were much more insecure than other regions in Lebanon but still some Lebanese families moved to these camps, under the critical social conditions the camps endure.
Why did these families choose the camps and not other safer places in the country? How did the Lebanese and Palestinian families coexist during this month-long conflict? Were there any tensions between the two communities? Did the Palestinians have the means to help the Lebanese? And were they willing to do so? What was the Lebanese view regarding the Palestinian support? The vision has changed; a compassion attitude was developed towards the Palestinian community which enhanced solidarity between both communities.
We attempted to retrace the story of two peoples that have lived together during the Israeli siege on Lebanon in July, under extreme difficult situation.
