Synopsis:
'21 Taras: Our Journey Through Life' is a documentary exploring our life's journey through the lens of the Great Mother Tara. Tara is said to be the Mother of all the Buddhas who will ferry all sentient beings across the ocean of suffering into complete liberation. At the center of the documentary are interviews with Prema Dasara, the creator of the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara. The interviews are illustrated by dancers from all over the world manifesting the attributes of the Goddess Tara. We are also shown the correlation between each of the 21 Taras and the Major Arcana of the Tarot. The comparisons are extraordinary. This rich tapestry is enhanced by an original musical score by producer, director and editor Anahata Iradah. Interviews with H. H. Dalai Lama, H. E. Tai Situ Rinpoche, V. Lama Lhundrup and other illuminated beings complete this extraordinary work of art.
