This is the ninth and final part of the 9-parts series of animated films is the product of a unique experience in North-South collaboration which gave a training opportunity to a group of young Latin American animators.
Under the direction of two Danish and one Uruguayan instructor (MarÃa Mac Dalland, Malenen Vilstrup and Walter Tournier) an initial group of 9 Uruguayans and trainees from Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil and Peru spent a hectic month in May 1990, studying a multiplicity of animation techniques. Later the Uruguayans each continued with the writing and direction of his or her own animation film.
MOTHER EARTH is the result of this experience.
