Synopsis:
In a continent where a third of the global community resides, and where Muslims are a majority, the importance of a joint declaration coming from prominent religious leaders dedicated to reviving the message of the Middle Way of Islam was of utmost importance.
This documentary is about a landmark summit which was held in Timbuktu in 2009, a city rich in Islamic tradition and mystical status, it resonates with the message of the Declaration; the success of peace over war, humanity of barbarism, love over hatred and learning over ignorance.
