At a conference in Yelm, Washington, in February 1997, a distinguished panel of eighteen scholars, including neuroscientists, psychologists, physicists, sociologists, and religious experts from diverse institutions such as Chicago Theological Seminary, Colgate University, the University of California and Oregon, and Birkbeck College at the University of London - gathered to present the findings of their research and testing of JZ Knight, Ramtha, and the students of Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment. Dr. Stanley Krippner, one of the leading parapsychology researchers in the U.S.A. who participated in this study, remarked to the press that JZ Knight, who had been channeling Ramtha the Enlightened One for the previous twenty years, “is not a fraud.†“She’s not faking it,†added Dr. Ian Wickramasekera of San Francisco’s Saybrook Graduate School & Research Center, “because when we hooked her up to test her physiological responses, we got results which could not have been manipulated.â€
