Synopsis:
Understanding and valuing emptiness can help us identify a longing for fulfillment. Awareness of emptiness can be subtle or appear in quick flashes. Look for it when you are alone, when you lack tenderness or connection with others, in your sex life, at a party, etc. It can occur when we don’t receive what we need. Reflect back on childhood moments when you perhaps couldn’t make a connection with loved ones, and it left you feeling flat. The main objective is to entice the viewer to apply the theme of this film personally, by doing the inquiry and personal integration: In what specific situations does emptiness show up in your life, and what needs and qualities require attention? See if you can be relaxed as you look for this often suppressed part of yourself, and appreciate that you may be opening doors to fulfilling areas you are now feeling empty.
