Synopsis:
'By Any Other Name' is the story of a young man with Down Syndrome, as he navigates the tricky waters of friendships, women, and relationships. Jared lives in Chicago with his brother and works at a bookstore. One day he meets his new co-worker, Marissa, and becomes immediately infatuated with her. To both Jared and Marissa's surprise, they develop a meaningful, caring friendship that comes with it's share of complications, but means a great deal to both of them. 'By Any Other Name' confronts issues such as the ways in which the general public both accepts and rejects individuals with disabilities, the support systems that persons with disabilities have in their lives, and the universal phenomenon of love.
