Synopsis:
What makes a researcher that lives surrounded by the naked violence of a city like São Paulo paint canvases as if they were fragments of his daily life? For Manoel Paes Neto what matters is the looks that translate supplication, regret and freedom. He cannot tell why these people call his attention. He does not look for crime celebrities. He gets more interest in the sad ones, the humble ones. His esthetics universe is made up by the homeless, of the young offenders, the underground world. His paintings are extraordinarily sublime, for he transforms the daily emotion brutalized by the fumes of exhaust pipes into paintings, immortalizing, with lightness, scenes of the life of the people from São Paulo.
